Student to Teacher Ratio 10:1

The Inventors classroom is geared to provide a balanced combination of learning and structured creative play in an option-rich and child-centered environment. We follow a Kindergarten Readiness Program to prepare our children to enter Kindergarten. The goal of our program is to help our children enter school with the skills and behaviors necessary to be successful in future learning and to foster a lifelong love of learning and exploration.

  • Kindergarten Readiness: Children in the Inventors classroom are gearing up for Kindergarten. Although children grow and mature at different rates, and not all children are ready at the same time, we are committed to giving each child the tools, resources and support needed for a successful transition into Kindergarten. Throughout each busy day, preschoolers continue to gain valuable experiences across all learning domains; cognitive, social, emotional, physical and language. Although our daily focus is placed on the skills needed to prepare them for the high standards of learning they will face in kindergarten, “getting ready” is not a burden placed on our children, rather one for us educators and our children’s families.
  • Parental Involvement: Research has shown that early childhood programs that involve parents and children working together are more effective than programs that only focus on the child. We involve our families and encourage them to play a more active role throughout their child’s education. We provide daily communication resources and also offer parent-teacher conferences throughout the year.
  • Multiple Intelligences Learning Centers: Our PreK-4 curriculum is designed to provide a variety of experiences in a child centered, hands on environment. During a typical day, children are given time to explore, play and enjoy many Multiple Intelligence Learning Centers around the classroom such as math, reading, cooking, writing, block building, construction, dramatic play, science, problem solving, geography and more.
  • Rich in Resources: In the Pre K-4 classroom, structure and directed activities become more of a focus. Although we are still learning through play, we spend time engaging in specific activities to expose learning objectives needed for the transition to kindergarten. Our degreed teachers work with your children to develop and improve their skills and abilities keeping in mind the many different learning styles of each child. Our philosophy is to engage and expose learning opportunities for all children.
  • Collaborative Problem Solving: Looking ahead to elementary school and beyond, there is a growing emphasis on project-based work. This includes educational tasks that require multiple students working together to achieve a team goal. Therefore, by fostering our pre-schoolers spontaneous ability to collaborate with one another in free play, on structured learning tasks, and on problem-solving tasks, they are gaining invaluable skills that not only help them carry out various tasks, but also learn ways of cooperating and resolving conflicts that often occur during the course of completing a task.
  • Social Finesse: There is no doubt; social skills are crucial for learning. In the Inventor’s classroom, social milestones are monitored. Understanding the difference between right and wrong, recognizing and respecting authority figures, communicating feelings and wants in an appropriate manner are just a few skills we know they’ll need in their transition to Kindergarten. Social finesse is a process, and we recognize and foster these skills daily.
